BOARDMAN — A Salinas Trail woman accused of robbery at a U.S. Route 224 grocery store is to appear next month in Mahoning County Area Court.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12 for Eileen Pope, 58, who is charged with robbery and possession of criminal tools. She in the Mahoning County Jail Tuesday.
Police were called about 7 p.m. Monday to Giant Eagle on a report of a woman who had concealed a DVD in her purse, bit a store security officer and fled the store.
The security officer told police that she saw Pope conceal a DVD in her purse and check out without paying for it. Pope struggled with the security officer when she tried to stop her and bit the officer’s arm, the security officer told police.
Pope then fled and police, using the vehicle registration went to Pope’s home and arrested her.

Very unusual . Eileen may indeed have medical problems causing a mental condition . I hope the court gets treatment for her .
I know who she is personally and something must have happened to her- I am not making excuses but that just is not her.Being liberal has nothing to do with it either.
