Confidential, Youngstown, Ohio
Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik just called out Paul Williams as a hometown crowd cheered his victory
"Paul Williams, you are not the most feared fighter," Pavlik said. "You've got a guy standing right here in Youngstown who wants you."
After watching the fight, Kelly will need more of an effort to beat Williams...if they ever fight!
dont call me crazy on this one...but Paul Williams will do what Bernard Hopkins didnt do...KO Pavlik in the first four rounds...
Pavlik is lucky to have fought a bum because he left himself exposed time and time again in that fight...Paul Williams will make him pay...
If I was Pavlik i would duck williams and fight Felix Strum...Strum is a beatable opponent and would help generate more hype until Williams becomes champion..
What a joke Pavlik calling out Paul Williams. Pavlik has cancelled two fights with Williams and has been avoiding him for months now. Pavlik calling Williams out is just funny. Williams is going to knock Pavlik out.
I'm tired of all those who cut down Pavlik, you all should get in the ring with him, you all probably never boxed. An injury to the hand can not heal without rest and therapy. Anything can happen in that ring I have seen Williams fight he is a good fighter but not unbeatable, I know Kelly can take him. Go Kelly
More money on the next fight . Will it be in Vegas ?
valleyresident you don't have a clue about boxing.Like it or not KELLY PAVLIK is the World Champ and he is from Youngstown !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you call out other world champion fighters who, have powder puff fights.I stick behind my comment, you are one of many LOSERS who find fault in everyone and everything ,from Youngstown.
Why don't you and everyone else who hates everything about the Youngstown area, move to where you think life is great .
GREAT JOB KELLY !!
Kelly is bringing fame and fortune to the area . Most in The Valley would have thrown in the towel on the hand infection .
GO KELLY !
It is so sad to see residents of The Valley be so critical of one of the bright points our hometown has to offer at this time. Kelly is a guy who could have turned his back on Youngstown and left for greener pastures but has remained faithful to his roots. Shame of those of you who are so self-loathing that you have to try to put a negative spin on something so positive in a time where our hometown has so little. You are truly a pathetic bunch.
As for those saying that Kelly "ducked" Paul Williams or that Williams would knock out Kelly in 4 rounds, you only show your ignorance and lack of knowledge of the sport of boxing. Try educating yourself before spouting off in a public forum, you will save yourself many foolish moments.
I'm not evenfrom Y-town but have a great respect for all boxers, These so called self-proclaimed experts in the sport of boxing should challenge The Ghost, then lets hear what they have to say.
I'm making a prediction. When Kelly signs the contract to fight Williams in Atlantic City or Vegas, the next thing ,the losers will complain about is,how unfair Kelly won't fight in Youngstown.I saw Kelly in Atlantic City once, but I truly enjoyed his fights in Youngstown more,it was a home town feeling.
Fighting the best possible opponent would take it's toll on any fighter. Take a look at a guy like Fernando Vargas who was fighting big fight after big fight, guy burned out young and sounds drunk now when talking. All fighters deserve a so-called pushover to earn a payday....conrats Ghost.
Fighting the best possible opponent fight in and fight out is what I meant to open my comment above with.
how bout them steelers.... their win is more important than casper beating on a joke of a boxer
Steelers can make any team look good,,,,even the bad ones.
Even your Brownies and Bengals
