CAMPBELL — The Campbell Police Department is beginning a fund-raising drive to buy a dog.
Not just any dog — a combination counter narcotic and tracking dog. A dog like Rebel, Struthers’ police dog, which Campbell often borrows.
“We go to Struthers first, then Youngstown, Boardman or Mahoning County,” Detective Sgt. John Rusnak said today.
“We’ve got to pick and choose when to borrow dogs,” said Patrol Officer John Gulu, adding that they don’t want to borrow other departments’ dogs unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Good luck with that! The pd has 12 officers and the projects have been almost empty for a couple of years now.
There is no need for this dog in the city!
No need for the dog? The police in Campbell could use a dog more than Struthers and a lot of other surrounding areas. The projects arent empty they are filling up again plus most of Campbell's crime is not just from the projects it is wide spread. Once again Campbell's crime rate is very high it is public record maybe you should go look at it before you make stupid comments "theword". You are probably the reason the crime rate is high!
Have this dog sniff out the mayor's house, car and offices ! Many of us have reason to believe that he is doing drugs . Why else would he want to charge landlords a grand per rental per year on top of real estate taxes, income taxes, mortage payments, insurance and repairs ?
I also here that he likes to spend time at the nudy bars
