YOUNGSTOWN — One person is dead after a drive-by shooting on the North Side this afternoon, police report.
Police said the shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Logan and Zents avenues.
A man was sitting in a car at that location when someone else drove up, opened fire and left, police said.
Police don’t yet have information to release on the victim’s identity.

Police have identified the victim of a gruesome homicide on Youngstown's north side as Kevin Hart, 38, of Youngstown.
Hart was shot upwards of a dozen times and left slumped over the front seat of his car in the area of Wick and Logan avenues. Officers said it appears to have been an ambush, but the investigation is just getting started.
Many empty shell cases were strewn across the road, and the car was riddled with bullet holes with most windows shattered.
A detective at the scene said witnesses reported a light-colored SUV pulled up to the victim's car and opened fire.
No suspects are believed to be in custody.
