LUCASVILLE — State prison officials are still awaiting word from the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday before proceeding with the scheduled 10 a.m. execution of Kenneth Biros.
The convicted Trumbull County murder sought high court intervention on his request for a temporary restraining order, questioning the constitutionality of Ohio's lethal injection process.
Biros completed visits with family members, friends, spiritual advisers and attorneys before 9 a.m. after a mostly restful night. He requested and received permission to take a white scarf into the execution chamber with him, an apparent Buddhist symbol of purity and happiness. Biros' spiritual advisers include a Catholic priest and two Buddhists.
Biros prayed with his mother and the priest Tuesday morning, holding hands with his mother and kissing her as she left the death house. He also has requested at least four cups of water to drink since waking up just after 6 a.m.

Here's a thought..if the drugs don't kill him, choke him to death with the scarf.
I have always been against the death penalty but, after reading what this guy did to that poor girl seeing him die isnt' going to bother me a bit.
paulb..I agree. If Jesus can forgive, why can't we?
Nope, killing him doesn't bring the victim back but why should this monster live? For what reason should he live and breathe in this world? Don't you understand what he did? He murdered a 22 year old innocent girl. Why should she have died and this beast live? That isn't really fair, is it? And AKAFR, everyone can forgive this animal after he is gone from this world and in hell. Then you can forgive him all you want because then he'll be all gone. So forgive him but forgive him when hes no longer breathing in this world. So just like Jesus we can forgive, but after hes dead.
Apparently you are limited to what the Bible teaches. It also says if you commit murder, you are to be put to death. There is a consequence to your actions even with forgiveness. You can be forgiven but it does not mean there is no punishment for your actions.
Life you need a life's lesson on forgiveness. True forgiveness does not come with stipulations.
CCADTI you can quote the bible but you certainly can't quote the heart of jesus and his ability to forgive.
AKAFR - Like I said before you can forgive the monster all you want after he is no longer in this world. And for your information, from the bible:
"Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."
Genesis 9:6
"... you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death, but he shall surely be put to death."
Numbers 35:31
