Those who play should pay

EDITOR:

It is fundamental that sex between two responsible adults is biologically and physiologically for the purpose of having a family and the continuance of the human race. The side benefit is pleasure.

If so called responsible persons finds themselves with child and deems it an appropriate decision to have an abortion, that is the woman’s decision and her bill. There is no justification for having responsible taxpayers shoulder the costs by having our tax dollars, already insufficient to cover wild federal spending, used to pay for the results of irresponsible fun and games.

The issue of having an abortion is definitely the female’s choice, but the financial obligation does not fall to the rest of society.

A question I would ask abortion cheerleaders: Aren’t you glad your mother did not choose to abort you?

Oh come on Vindy. You are getting a bit ridiculous with your publications of the pro-lifers views.

To the ignorant author who can only see one side of the issue, my parents were married, stable and able to care for a child when they decided to PLAN my conception. Reality is that unplanned things happen, to teenagers, young adults and grown women. To the pro-life cheerleader author, let me ask you, would you be willing to have your testicles cut off without any choice in the matter?

Aborted children are executed without any choice in the matter . The unborn are inconvenient so they are slaughtered .

So Mr. Bienko let me play devils advocate for a moment based on your logic same-sex couples should have a blank check on having sex?
Or are you implying that everyone who wants to have a little fun before they are ready to start a family should only have sex with a consenting adult of the same sex as there would be no risk of pregnancy (hey this might actually work to reduce abortions).

"(hey this might actually work to reduce abortions)."

Yea Howie, but it generates aids that is running rampant . Safer sex is heterosexual sex .

Um, Stan.. Are you serious? Same sex intercourse causes AIDS? Are you aware this is 2009, not 1980? Bring your logic to current status. You are usually a little more intelligent with your comments, that one is a bit disappointing.

Stan and Mr. Bienko ---- condoms greatly reduce the risk of pregnancy and of many sexually transmitted diseases. So why are the religious pro life advocates against the proper scientific education of our young Americans and against the promotion of condoms as a safer sex alternative; both of which would definitely reduce the need for abortions in America?

Ah, but the cost of having a child most certainly can fall to society. Look at all the single mothers out there on welfare. Do you forget who is funding them?

Some of you need to get over the whole "sex is evil, pregnancy is punishment" bit.

I am late to the game, but to the Pro-Life cheerleaders -- It looks like you are going to have your way in regard to the health bill. Since I don't personally know anyone who is pro-life while also being a healthy eater and/or non-drinker, here is my proposal:

It is fundamental that food and drink is needed biologically and physiologically for the purpose of continuance of the human race. The side benefit is pleasure.

If persons find themselves with cancer, heart disease, diabetic or with high blood pressure and deem it an appropriate decision to be medicated, hospitalized, or have surgery, that is their decision and bill.

There is no justification for having responsible (and healthy eating) taxpayers shoulder the costs by having our tax dollars used to pay for the results of irresponsible fun and games (i.e., drinking, eating meat, sugar, etc.)

The issue of needing medical care due to a lifetime of unhealthy choices rests with the individual, but the financial obligation does not fall to the rest of society.
