LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — Police said a 72-year-old pizza shop employee foiled a shotgun-point robbery by throwing a can of beer at the perpetrators.
Lancaster police Lt. Todd Umstead said two men with bandanas over their faces attempted to rob Six Packs on Vine at closing time Wednesday. One of the men pointed a shotgun at the employee, who was stocking a cooler.
Umstead said the man threw a 12-ounce can of beer at the robber and both assailants fled the store.
Police said the employee could not tell if the beer struck either of the men but it was enough to chase them off.

GOD BLESS HIM ! That took a lot of courage to face off with armed robbers .
Stimulus must not of worked for the would be robbers...
A courageous man! But I hope it was cheap beer - hate to waste the good stuff on bums like them!
that takes balls. obviously the gun probably wasn't loaded or the robbers don't have it in them to kill anyone.
still a stupid move. just give them what they want. it's not worth losing your life.
Jrolley325, u r a douche, if u give it away then they have no reason to stop taking it! Props old man!!
