Going to Journey concert Thursday? Call Rick!

Published: Wed, August 19, 2009 @ 5:32 p.m.

Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” was a soundtrack for a generation, but the hit has transcended the pop charts on which it was once a staple. The song is among the most downloaded ever on iTunes and college students join in drunken chorus to sing it in bars.

The band is bringing that star power to the Valley this week, and we want to talk to fans and concert attendees about the band’s 35 year history. If you’re going to the concert on Thursday, call reporter Rick Rouan at (330) 747-1471, extension 1375, or e-mail him at rrouan@vindy.com.

It's not Journey without Steve Perry.

The new singer sounds just like Perry. If you close your eyes, you think it is Perry.
