Cabaret files federal lawsuit against Austintown

Published: Fri, August 7, 2009 @ 3:15 p.m.

AUSTINTOWN — Allowed to reopen its doors, the Go Go Cabaret has now put the township in the spotlight.

Cabaret owner Sebastian Rucci filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against the township, alleging harassment and unfair treatment to his business.

Rucci alleges the township violated his First Amendment rights and targeted the business for zoning violations. The township also opposed his bid for a liquor license renewal.

Rucci was unavailable for comment Friday.

Township officials weren’t surprised the lawsuit had been filed.

way to go Austintotown. I don't condone his business, but you did violate his rights with your own self interests in mind.

The township did violate his rights. They need to pay heavily for the economic damage they have done to this area. Fewer people are being employed, less utilities are being sold, and more dancers are living in poverty as a direct result of these trustees trying to impose their obsolete moral philosophy on Austintown. These trustees need voted out and replaced with those who are in tune with today's modern socio-economic realities.

The township did nothing wrong. He violated zoning, refused to comply, they did what they needed to do. Nor should he get his liquor license back, you serve to underage kids, you don't deserve it back. Just another useless lawsuit to try and create sympathy. Go someplace else with your drug den, it is not wanted here. All except for foxtrot. Hey, maybe foxtrot would be willing to let you operate out of his home since he loves this business so much.

Austintown should let them re-open and start doing DUI checkpoints right there on 46....I went there two times as a driver for my drunk friends and you wouldnt believe how many people would leave there hammered..

Why is it that you can Drink and Dance Naked on one side of the I-80 overpass bridge, but not on the other? Who ISN'T doing their job and collecting a "money envelope" on each side?

No, I am not joking. This business needs to be re-opened so that the dancers, who I have 10000x more respect for than some lazy and worthless welfare recipient, can work and earn a decent living. The dancers will stay physically fit, thus reducing future health care costs. It seems as if you all would be happier if these girls had to have sex for money instead of dancing. Dancing is a beneficial activity, and is harmless to the society as a whole. I've had dancers live with me before, and they were the best girlfriends I ever had, and the most down-to-earth and "real."

LostPatrol has it right. Obviously whoever owns the joint on the south side of interstate 80 has more power (politicians on payroll) than Rucci. Anyone know who really owns the "good" strip joint and how about the asian massage parlor that is nothing more than a house of prostitution.

The re-opening of the drug den will lure the subculture back into the area . The fallout from their operations will keep the area in the forefront of the news.

They sound like great girls. How many foxtrot?

False choice. Just because you can't dance in a club does not mean you have to prostitute yourself. Unless you're showing that a link does indeed exist.

Austintown is full of women who prostitute themselves. If there wasn't so many prostitutes in Austintown, then all of the massage parlors would have to shut down due to lack of employees. Not all dancers are prostitutes. But by not providing suitable places for women to dance, some of the women will turn to prostitution instead. 70-80% of all women will perform a sexual act or series of acts if it means an economic advantage for them. This applies to the young girls who marry rich older men, not because they love them, but as a means to live a richer, easier life. This applies to any situation to where a woman dates someone for economic advantage. It also applies to any situation where a women has more kids to extract more welfare benefits and food stamps. Bottom line-Austintown is full of women of loose morals, and if one form of economic development is denied them, then they will choose a more costly and destructive form. The socialist opposers of this strategy; that is those who want to deny these fine girls of their right to make a decent living without having to lie on their back; think it is fine if they sit around on welfare, get obese, and continue to pop out unfunded and illegitimate children.

hahaha where are you getting these statistics? who has done any kind of study on prostitution in Austintown? Is this some private study you've "financed"?

I'm having trouble making the connection between not dancing naked and being forced into obesity, welfare, prostitution and unwanted pregnancy. If you're speaking from personal experience from one of those dancers that lived with you, then maybe you're the expert.

I think your use of the 70% figure to describe women as having some sort of sexual relationship for financial gain reveals a lot about yourself. It's extremely misogynistic, and flat out fallacious.

Who are these women you hang around?

And again, if these women are FORCED into prostitution as a result of them not being able to dance, what happens to them when they get older? Do they automatically become prostitutes?

You're talking out of your ___ on this one.

Yeah, until they start requiring treatment for all of the STD's they've contracted from doing God only knows what else in those kids of places.

I don't know the same women as you apparently foxtrot. Maybe you need to broaden your social circles. I guess included in that 90% would be your mother, your grandmother, aunts, sisters, cousins, etc. since 90% is pretty high. Personally, the women in my family wouldn't do what you explain. I guess they make up the 10%.

The secretaries at my workplace do not sleep with the bosses. They have their own families and husbands.

"Face it TB, outside of your liberal world of socialist college professors it is mostly a world filled with sluts,"
Honestly, this worries me. You don't live in Pittsburgh and have a gym membership do you?

I still don't see how these prostitutes (and real pros, not the ones you see in the movies) are forced into it because they're not dancing. Most of them choose it due to addiction.

You don't give women very much credit. Honestly, it's pretty scary.
