Filling Kids Kupboard

NORTH JACKSON — First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., is conducting a fund-raising drive for its Kids Kupboard. The program, a mission of the interdenominational church, furnishes Jackson-Milton youth with school necessities they might not otherwise be able to afford.

Since its inception in 2004, the program has provided more than $10,600 in school supplies and fees to Jackson-Milton students.

Jack Acri, church council president, said that Kids Kupboard is an extension of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, the church food pantry that serves local families Saturday mornings.

Monetary donations for Kids Kupboard school supplies may be made on the church Web site at For more information, call the church office at (330) 538-3936.
