The Federal League is exploring the possibility of adding two teams, Warren Harding and Massillon, to its eight-member conference and is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks.
Harding, which is leaving the Steel Valley Conference at the end of the year, was one of three schools that sent letters of interest to the league, with Mentor being the other school. Mentor will not be considered, however, due to the travel and cost difficulties.
The athletic administrators will meet on April 20 to discuss expansion. The committee will meet on April 21 to make a decision.
