Trumbull coroner hasn’t ruled on death of Bristolville boy

Published: Tue, September 23, 2008 @ 1:28 p.m.

BRISTOLVILLE — The Trumbull County coroner has not ruled on the cause of death of a 21-month-old boy, who collapsed at home at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.

The boy, Tyler Bachhofer of 1063 Housel Craft Road, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital, where he was taken after his parents found him, unresponsive, on the floor of the home.

The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.

Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, the county’s forensic pathologist, said he will await the results of toxicology tests before making a ruling on the death.

The body showed no signs of trauma, Dr. Germaniuk said.
