Pavlik, Hopkins exchange words at weigh-in

In front of a loud, extremely pro-Pavlik crowd, Kelly Pavlik and Bernard Hopkins each made the 170-pound limit on Friday, then exchanged a few words at the podium inside Circus Maximus Theater at Caesars Atlantic City.

Standing face to face for the cameras, Hopkins told Pavlik, "4 1/2 years in the penitentiary."

Pavlik: "Yeah, and 30 minutes into the fight, you're going back."

Pavlik weighed in at 169 pounds and Hopkins was 170 for Saturday's non-title bout at Boardwalk Hall.

The crowd was estimated at 1,100 -- the biggest to date for a Pavlik bout -- and Pavlik's fans drowned out the few Hopkins fans.
