YOUNGSTOWN — The resident of 216 Matta Ave. fell asleep with a lighted cigarette and was awakened around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday by heat from a mattress fire caused by cigarette ash, the fire department said. No injuries were reported. Damage to the West Side house and contents was set at $18,000, reports show.
A lighted cigarette.. Really? Wow, thank goodness it wasn't a lit cigar, that would have really been disastorous!
Walter? Right on.
Also, the headline says that the cig was responsible for the fire...it should read "Moron causes mattress fire."
