YOUNGSTOWN — The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance sign-ups will be Oct. 14 through Oct. 18 at 1501 Glenwood Ave.
Times for filling out applications are: Oct. 14, 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Oct. 17 from noon to 6 p.m.; and Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
To qualify for assistance applicants must be Mahoning County residents. In addition, they must have valid photo identification for all household members over age 12 and provide social security cards for all household members, proof of guardianship of children ages 12 and under and have a household income that cannot exceed 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.
Children ages 12 and under at the time of application, including newborns to be born before Dec. 31, will receive toys from the Angel Tree Program and their families a Christmas food voucher. All other households submitting an application will receive a food voucher.
