Warriors of Manhood and Totally You Girl programs kick off Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN — Warriors Inc. is having a kick off celebration for the Warriors of Manhood and Totally You Girl programs at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road.

Breakfast will begin at 10 a.m. and is free for all participants signed up for the two programs. Breakfast for parents of participants will be $4 and all other attendees will be $9.

Speakers are Sonya Williams, wife of Mayor Jay Williams; William Blake, director of student diversity at Youngstown State University; and Guy Burney, a motivational speaker.

Warriors of Manhood and Totally You Girl are free enrichment programs focused on educating young men and woman ages 9 to 25. The programs will run 9 a.m. to noon every other Saturday from Oct. 25 until March 2009 at Eagle Heights Academy, the former Youngstown South High School building,1833 Market St. To register or volunteer for the programs, contact Sparkil Alli at (330) 783-5440.
