YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley Phantoms games will be broadcast on WBBW-AM (1240).

The Phantoms’ remaining 43 regular-season games plus the playoffs will be broadcast.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with ESPN Radio 1240 this season,” said team owner Bruce Zoldan, “so that our fans can listen to all Phantoms games, both home and away. We are also very pleased that ESPN Radio 1240 and Cumulus Broadcasting are helping to secure the future of hockey here in our Valley.”

Broadcasts will start 15 minutes before faceoff with a pre-game show and a 10-minute postgame show will follow each game.

Phantoms director of broadcasting, Paul Teeple, will call the play-by-play.

The first game on WBBW will be Friday against the St. Louis Bandits at the Chevrolet Centre. The broadcast will start at 7:15 p.m.
