Pavlik may make title defense in Youngstown

Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik may make his second title defense in February in Youngstown, his trainer, Jack Loew, said Monday.

Pavlik, who is coming off the first loss of his professional career, would fight WBC No. 1 contender Marco Antonio Rubio, most likely at the Chevrolet Centre downtown, as part of a two-site, two-fight doubleheader on HBO.

The fight telecast could be combined with a bout involving Miguel Cotto in Atlantic City.
