DAYTON — A Washington, D.C.-based union that represents about 60,000 auto and other manufacturing workers will move its headquarters to the Dayton area by the end of the year, the union’s president said Tuesday.

International Union of Electrical Workers president James Clark said the majority of the union’s members are located in Ohio or surrounding states, including those at Warren-based Delphi Packard Electric.

Clark said he is exploring locations in the Dayton area. About a half dozen IUE headquarters workers will relocate to Dayton.
