A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown:

CANFIELD

April 21

Phone harassment: A woman living in the 200 block of Edwards Street reported receiving several unwanted calls on her cell phone in on April 21 and April 24, then called back to police and said she received 16 calls on April 25.

April 26

Telephone harassment: A woman from the 10 block of Hilltop Boulevard reported receiving four unwanted calls daily for the past three or four months.

Telephone harassment: The owner of Kline Logistics, 400 W. Main Street said she and her husband had been receiving unwanted phone calls from an employee. She noted the employee made threats toward her.

Carrying concealed weapons: Police arrested a 19-year-old Austintown man after a traffic stop on N. Broad Street after discovering he had nine knives in his vehicle.

April 29

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 46-year-old Boardman man on charges of drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving a false name at U.S. Route 224 and Raccoon Road. The man was found with marijuana c and crack cocaine. A 34-year-old woman passenger from Austintown was also arrested on drug charges for possession of Adderall.

April 28

Telephone harassment: A 68-year-old Sawmill Run Road resident complained to police he had been receiving unwanted phone calls at his residence for three months.

April 30

Drug abuse: A 22-year-old Salem man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse at Route 224 and Raccoon Road. Police found marijuana.

May 1

Drug abuse: A 56-year-old Austintown man was arrested on charges of drug abuse on Lisbon Street after police found a bag of ten rocks of suspected crack cocaine.

April 28

Criminal trespassing: A woman was arrested for trespassing at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Criminal damaging: A light socket was broken and picnic tables were painted with graffiti at Wedgewood Park, 1671 Lancaster Drive.

Theft: A man was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

April 29

Felonious assault: A man was assaulted at the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.

Fraud: Unauthorized electronic withdrawals were made on a victim’s account at a home in the 100 block of N. Edgehill Ave.

Burglary: A 18-year-old man is a suspect in a burglary at a home in the 200 block of N. Beverly Avenue.

Theft: A wallet was stolen at Austintown Pediatrics, 107 Javit Court, and was later recovered with everything in it but the cash.

Assault: A 20-year-old female was the victim of an assault at an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Assault: A male victim was shot in the arm with a BB gun in the 400 block of S. Edgehill Ave.

Telephone harassment: Unwanted telephone calls were reported at a home in the 400 block of S. Edgehill Ave.

Aggravated menacing: A man is a suspect in menacing at a home in the 500 block of Notre Dame Drive.

April 30

Draino bomb: No damage was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Mulberry Run.

Drug offense: A Youngstown woman was arrested and placed in county jail at N. Four Mile Run Road and Crum Road for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Burglary: A sliding door was forced open and a Beretta 920 pistol and coins were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of Ohltown Road.

Identity theft: The victim’s Ohio license and ATM card were used to make purchases at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Breaking and entering: At a garage in the 2000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

May 1

Misuse of credit card: A man is accused in an incident reported by a resident of an apartment in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: A computer was stolen from an auto at Infocision, 5749 Interstate Boulevard.

Criminal damaging: A sandstone wall cap was broken off at Second Phase, 191 S. Four Mile Run Road.

Aggravated burglary: At a home in the 100 block of N. Edgehill Ave.

Telephone harassment: A Columbus man is accused of making unwanted phone calls to a home in the 4000 block of Patricia Avenue.

Theft: $30 in gasoline was stolen at BP gas station, 3109 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Aggravated menacing: A male and a female are both suspects in an incident at a home in the 6000 block of Berry Blossom Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A juvenile victim was threatened by a male juvenile with a knife at a home in the 100 block of N. Navarre Ave.

Theft: A 16-year-old female was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart and was released to her mother.

May 2

Theft: $20 in gasoline was stolen at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a debit card at a home in the 3000 block of Hamman Drive.

Menacing: A female was receiving threatening e-mails at a home in the 4000 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Auto theft: A 2006 Ford Escape was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.

Theft: A male suspect was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

May 3

Theft: A man stole two Heineken beer kegs from Speedway, 4401 Kirk Road.

Drug offense: A Girard man was arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia at I-680 and Route 11-South.

Criminal mischief: Profanity was painted onto the concession stand at A. J. Soccer, 805 Ohltown Road.

Harassment: Unwanted text messages were reported at Alpine Motors, 220 S. Meridian Road.
