TCI names officer, employee of 2008
LEAVITTSBURG — The Trumbull Correctional Institution has named Curtis L. Green as the Correction Officer of the Year for 2008. He began his employment at TCI on Nov. 4, 1994.
Active in his church and community, Green has been married to his wife, Valerie, for three years and they live with their daughter, Kiera. Green is often complimented on his professionalism from individuals who visit TCI. He serves on the Honor Guard at TCI and he is well respected by his peers and supervisors.
“I am honored to represent TCI as the 2008 Correction Officer of the Year and I will continue to strive for excellence throughout my tenure at the institution,” he said.
Green will compete with other statewide Correction Officers of the Year to receive the Ronald C. Marshall Award and be named the CO of the Year for the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
Bonnie L. Armour is TCI Employee of the Year. She began her employment with the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction June 5, 2000.
Before her employment at TCI, she worked at the Lake Erie Correctional Institution and the Ohio State Penitentiary. She works in the personnel department as an account clerk. She has been married to Ken for 28 years and they have three children: Brian, Michael and Jennifer. She is often called upon by people in her community to assist in their times of need and she is active with her church.
