FLOWER POWER: Happy to help, co-chairs Gere Weller of Liberty and Janet Weller of Canfield are organizing community volunteers for the Annual Spring Flower Sale in Howland to benefit the mission of Northeast Ohio Adoption Services. Plants and flowers will be for sale from Tuesday through May 26.

HOWLAND — Volunteers of Northeast Ohio Adoption Services will raise funds for the agency at the Annual Spring Flower Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through May 26 at Hunter’s Square Plaza, 8700 Market St., just two blocks east of Route 46 on Old Route 82.

Co-chairwomen Gere Weller of Liberty and Janet Weller of Canfield are organizing community volunteers to staff the sale.

Colorful, hand-selected flats of annuals for the garden, classic perennials and herbs, hanging baskets, Mother’s Day gift basket arrangements and Memorial Day geraniums and plants will be available.

To volunteer or place an advance order, call (330) 856-5582.

Proceeds from the sale will help NOAS locate and train urgently needed adoptive families. In Ohio, more than 6,000 children, mostly school age, are waiting for the commitment and care of a permanent, loving home.
