CANFIELD — The Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Novice Extravaganza will be at the Canfield Fairgrounds on May 31.
There will be a clinic at 8:30 a.m., and the show will start at 10 a.m.
The event is free, and those attending will see horses perform in several events ranging from jumping, reining, barrel racing, roping and pole bending. There also will be Halter classes judged on balance, muscling and breed characteristics.
The show is affiliated with the American Quarter Horse Association.
The AQHA open show will be June 1 also at the fairgrounds.
“We welcome all American Quarter Horse owners to attend an all novice show,” Bill Brewer, AQHA executive vice president. “Anyone who has ever wanted to get involved with horses or compete at an AQHA show is encouraged to attend,” he said.
AQHA approves more than 2,700 shows a year. For more information about the Northern Ohio QHA Novice Extravaganza, contact Chris Cecil-Darnell at (330) 668-1090 or visit the Web site at www.noqha.com.
