Former chiropractor gets 43-year prison term
YOUNGSTOWN — Dr. Gregory S. Dew, the former Boardman chiropractor convicted of multiple sex crimes last week, was sentenced today to 43 years in prison.
Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court imposed the sentence on Dr. Dew, 46, of Kelly Park Road, Columbiana, who was convicted by a jury Friday of four counts of rape, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of corruption of a minor.
Dr. Dew was convicted of sex crimes committed between 1990 and 1992 against two of his female former gymnastics students, who were then between the ages of 15 and 17, before he became a chiropractor. He also was convicted of sex crimes against two adult female patients in his chiropractic practice between 2005 and 2007.

I could not believe this. My daughter was a member of one of the gymnastic teams that Greg coached and his behavior at that time was above reproach.
Greg definitely has a very good side to his personality. I think he has done much good in the world, which is one of the reasons this whole situation is so tragic.
Greg Dew was and has been a friend of mine for the past 3 years.I saw him take a three year old boy and correct his neck problems with the tenderest of care.I witnessed in his office while I was a patient there as well a my wife the kindest and compassionate man I know help others as well.I do not understand how the two ladies who say the acts of rape were committed upon them did not scream out or tell someone about the gross sexuall imposittion which was suppose to have occured. There was always so many patients within the waiting area as well.Still more and more new patients continued to come into his office for care.Often these people were accepted though they couldn't afford the cost of care out of pocket so he would accept the payment of the insurrance company as payment in full. What kind of man does this?Only one who is caring and a christian similar to the one who he served in this life.Christ Jesus. He listened to his accusers and spoke not harshly to them.He once told me however almost 2 years ago that someone was out to get him in a law suit and that he was innocent of the charges.I say to you does this sound like a guilty man to you? I think not!! We all were not in the courtroom last week so we cannot judge but I know Greg Dew and his family and he comes from good stock. It didn't take me 18 years to know that!! I will always be proud to call him my friend and Brother in Christ.
