Dr. Nora leaving as president, dean of NEOUCOM

ROOTSTOWN — Dr. Lois Margaret Nora, president and College of Medicine dean for the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy announced today that she will not extend her contract as beyond Dec. 31, 2009.

She has recommend the board of trustees make significant changes in the medical and pharmacy schools leadership structure, specifically suggesting that the positions of dean and president be split into two distinct jobs.

She has served as president and dean for six years.

A presidential search committee will be formed to identify and attract top potential successors for that position.
