Boardman police dismantle meth lab

Published: Mon, June 30, 2008 @ 11:47 a.m.

BOARDMAN — Police discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab in a garage on Mathews Road on Sunday.

“Police responded to 1853 Mathews Road on a tip from the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency of a possible meth lab,” Chief Patrick Berarducci said.

No charges have been filed. The house was a rental property. After processing the scene police called in the Mahoning County HasMat team to assist officers with decontamination. A company from Marion, Ohio, came to take custody of the hazardous materials in the garage at the request of the DEA.
