St. Michael Garden Guild picks winners

CANFIELD — St. Michael Garden Guild had a flower show and dinner May 28 at the parish center.

Carol Cartwright presided, and Ann Ellis served as judge for the flower show.

“Welcome to Animal Planet” was the theme for the flower show, and the winners were:

• Cookie Beeman — Best of show in arrangements.

• Doe Gallagher — Best of show in horticulture.

• Cartwright, Claudio DiRienzo and Marlene Ditchey — Blue ribbons for arrangements.

• Jane Bolton, Liz Rehlinger, Marge Yerman and Sylvia Schazzini — Blue ribbons for horticulture.

Rehlinger served as clerk for the event; Shirley Lyon and Beeman assisted with placement of arrangements, and Gallagher assisted with horticulture placement.

Serving as the flower show committee were Beeman, Ditchey, Rehlinger, Cartwright, Gallagher and Yerman.
