Preregistration date announced for Parrot Head Club golf outing

SALEM — July 5 will be the final day to preregister for an opportunity to participate in the second annual golf outing to be sponsored by Youngstown Parrot Head Club as a benefit for the March of Dimes.

Scheduled for July 12 at Flying B Golf Course, 13223 Middletown Road, the outing will be a four-person scramble, beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The fee is $70 per golfer or $280 per team. Those playing will be vying for first-, second- and third-place team prizes of $400, $280 and $140. There will also be miscellaneous contests throughout the day, and tickets will be sold for door prizes.

A setup will be ready for breakfast refreshments, lunch will be offered at the turn, soda and beer will be available, and dinner will be served during the awards ceremony.

Proceeds will go to the March of Dimes to help families stressed by emotional, physical and financial problems following the birth of a child with heart or other worrisome medical conditions.
