POLAND \Idol contest winners

Roughly 25 contestants took part in a four-hour singing competition that loosely resembled the popular “American Idol” TV show and was part of the two-day Celebrate Poland event. Winners, songs and categories:

Kindergarten through grade 4: Julia Cooper, 9 of Poland, for singing “God Bless America.”

Grades 5-8 (tie): Sara Saverko, 13, Columbiana, “Anyways,” by Martina McBride; Brittany Best, 12, Poland, “Over the Rainbow.”

Grades 9-12: Hannah Molter, 17, Poland, “Like We Never Loved at All,” by Faith Hill.

Adult: Jackie Hodos, Boardman, “Broken Wing,” by Martina McBride.
