IN THE CUP! Area Holes in One

Steve Whorton aced the No. 3 hole on the North Course at Mill Creek Golf Course. He used a 6-iron on the 155-yard hole. The shot was witnessed by Todd Whorton.

Peggy Welsh of Youngstown aced the No. 6 hole at Mahoning Country Club in Girard. She used a 7-wood on the 136-yard hole, and her group included Joanne Blockinger, Terri Skibo and Carol Kirsch.

Albert Pacella Sr., of Struthers aced the No. 3 hole on the North Course at Mill Creek Golf Course during the YMCA Golf League. His witnesses were Ron Bellino, Bernie Sylvania and Patsy Pacella.

Frank Butcher of Canfield aced the No. 8 hole on the North Course at Mill Creek Golf Course. He used an 8-iron on the 133-yard hole. It was witnessed by Shawn Hanna.

Dennie Allen of Vienna aced the No. 9 hole at Doughton Golf Course in Hubbard. He used a 9-wood on the 160-yard hole. Witnesses were Frank Susselman, Matt Bulford and Joe Burke.

Ron Wolford of Newton Falls, playing in the Northside Men’s League at Pine Lakes, aced the 120-yard, No. 16 hole with a 9-iron. Jack Ulansky, Phil Silverman and Jerry Cohen witnessed the shot.

John Malcomson made a hole-in-one on the 18th hole at Lakeside golf course. He was golfing with Mike Bachinger, Eric Bachinger and John Beilby III.

Bill Rovder of Poland aced the 140-yard, No. 6 hole with a 3-iron at Bedford Trails. Garry Glenn, Andy Demchak and Bob Patterson witnessed the shot.
