Flower show award recipients are announced

YOUNGSTOWN — Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park was the setting June 14 and 15 for a standard flower show hosted by the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area.

The entries were judged by Pearl Marlos, Dorothy Haddox and Millie Campean.

Recipients of blue ribbons in horticulture were:

• Norma Brown, Austintown.

• Campean, Gleaners.

• Laura Miller and Beverly Patrick, Ikebana.

• Rex Luckage, Men’s.

• Diana Mullins, Martha Murphy, Mary Mahalick, Shelia Bowman and Esther Berch, Nature Lovers.

• Rox Anne Macynski and Beth Haddle, public.

Gold seals in horticulture went to:

• Norma Brown, Austintown.

• Beth Haddle , public.

Receiving blue ribbons in design were:

• Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima.

• Esther Burch, Nature Lovers.

• Mary Lou Flere and Campean, Gleaners.
