Qualifying: The Hartford native will start in the 41st position for this weekend’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire International Speedway. Blaney has had a checkered career there, earning a pole position (last July) but an average finishing position of 25th in 16 career starts. Television coverage (TNT) is scheduled to begin Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with the green flag dropping at 2 p.m.

Season to date: Blaney started 16th and finished 20th at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., last Sunday. It was Blaney’s fifth top 20 finish in his last seven races. Blaney remains in 29th place in the Sprint Cup driver standings with 1,299 points. He’s 91 points behind No. 28 David Reutimann.
