Neely-Wright wedding to be at naval academy

X CANFIELD — The engagement of Melanie Eileen Neely of Jacksonville, Fla., a daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Neely of San Antonio, Texas, and Christopher David Wright, 11253 Campfield Circle, Jacksonville, is announced by his parents, Debbie and Dave Wright, 7040 St. Ursula Drive.

The bride-elect graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Honors College. She is a graduate student at the University of North Florida.

The future groom earned a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He is a naval flight officer with the U.S. Navy.

The couple have chosen the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis for their wedding on Aug. 16. Invitations will be issued for the noon ceremony and for a reception at The Officers Club at the academy.
