Manlio’s Italian eatery gets going in Canfield

CANFIELD — Manlio and Candice Anzalone have opened Manlio’s Pizza Italian Eatery at 3620 Starr Center Drive. The restaurant features pizza, calzones, paninis, soups and salads. Manlio Anzalone was born and raised in Italy, where he trained and began a career as a chef. He has more than 14 years of experience cooking and managing restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Youngstown.

Amish farmer’s market opens in Mahoning Valley

NILES — Amish Country Farmer’s Market has opened at 5115 Youngstown-Warren Road. Tim Daly, former owner of Tin Pan Alley, bought the building and joined with his Amish partner, Ray Miller, to develop the concept.

It carries produce grown by Northeast Ohio’s Amish community as well as brands such as Walnut Creek Foods and Middlefield Cheese. It also carries a variety of Amish baked goods and bread. The market also has a showroom with Amish hardwood furniture made in central Ohio.
