McDonald school board seeks to fill vacancy

McDONALD — The board of education will accept letters of interest in the vacancy created by the June 10 death of Atty. William Roux. Those interested must live in the school district and should send letters to the McDonald Board of Education, in care of Robert Jones Jr., board president, 600 Iowa Ave., McDonald, Ohio, 44437. The application period will be from Monday to 2:30 p.m. Friday. The board of education will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. July 2 to review applicants and make a selection. The board also plans to hire six new teachers. Roux, 52, was a 25-year board member.
