Parents announce plans for Sims, Vrona wedding

X CAMPBELL — Joseph Jr. and Bonnie Vrona of Campbell are announcing the engagement of their son, Joseph John Vrona III, and Summer K. Sims, both of Henderson, Nev.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Dr. Joel Sims of Tampa, Fla., and Charlene and Norman Janicki of Honolulu, Hawaii.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 3 p.m. ceremony July 20 at Ko’ Olina Chapel of Joy in Hawaii. Invitations have been extended for the wedding and for a reception afterward at Hale Koa Hotel in Hawaii.

Invitations will be issued for a postnuptial reception on Aug. 23 at St. Lucy Parish Center.

Miss Sims graduated from Las Vegas University and is a registered nurse in Las Vegas.

Mr. Vrona, an officer with Nevada Highway Patrol, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
