Girard police chief has pre-disciplinary hearing set Tuesday

GIRARD — The investigation of police Chief Frank Bigowsky will continue next week with a pre-disciplinary hearing.

Mayor James Melfi said Bigowsky is expected to be in the office of Safety Service Director Jerry Lambert at 10 a.m. Tuesday for the hearing. Melfi would not give any specifics about the hearing, however, the city administration has been investigating the chief for about two weeks. The specifics of the investigation have not been released.

Bigowsky has been on paid administrative leave since June 9.
