Vehicle hits utility pole, closes street in Hermitage

HERMITAGE, Pa. — A vehicle struck a utility pole in the 2000 block of Lynnwood Drive at 8:30 p.m. today, downing power lines that caused the street to be closed for several hours between Broadway Road and Reon Street while Penn Power crews made repairs. The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured and refused medical care, according to Mercer County dispatch officials.
