Rose show scheduled at Riverside Gardens

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley Rose Society has scheduled its sixth annual rose show for Saturday and Sunday at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks, 123 McKinley Ave.

Activities are as follows:

Saturday

• Exhibitor entries — 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

• Judging — 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Exhibits open for viewing and Chinese auction — 1 to 5 p.m.

• Panel discussion on rose care — 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Sunday

• Exhibits open for viewing — 10 a.m.

• Panel discussion on rose care — 2 to 3:30 p.m.

• Presentation of awards — 4 p.m.

• Chinese auction winners selected — 4 p.m.

Entries will be judged by Ann Hering, Dr. Jim Hering, Tom Wood and Dr. William Zumbar, American Rose Society accredited judges.
