Police continue search for armed robber

YOUNGSTOWN — Police continue looking for a man who committed an armed robbery Monday night at South Avenue Gas Mart on the corner of South Avenue and Dewey Avenue.

A man told police he was pumping gas at the business around 9:15 p.m. when he was approached by a male who pulled a handgun from his waistband and demanded a gold chain from around the victim’s neck.

The suspect then ran on South Avenue and was last seen near Pasadena Avenue.
