Dance event will aid charities in the Valley

BOARDMAN — Help Hotline Crisis Center and Potential Development Program are joining with Fred Astaire Dance Studio for a Midsummer’s Night Charity Dance Event from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 18 at Fred Astaire, 5090 Market St.

During the event, 12 amateur and pro-amateur couples will compete for the top three spots as well as the Best Impression Award and an award for the Top Fundraising Dance Team that raises at least $150 (in lieu of a registration fee) for the competition. The public is invited. Also featured will be additional performances by the dancing professionals at Fred Astaire and a gift basket raffle.
