Published: Fri, June 13, 2008 @ 12:48 p.m.

WARREN — Police are investigating a barroom shooting early today that left a 31-year-old man seriously injured.

Mark A. Dukes Jr., of Fulton Street, was in serious but stable condition today in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

According to the police report, police were called to the G&S Lounge in the 2300 block of West Market Street shortly before 2:15 a.m. in response to gun shots fired.

Dukes had been shot and taken from the basement by ambulance before police arrived, and the gunman had fled. Police found a 9mm shell casing in the bar. It is unclear what part of the body Dukes was wounded. The police report said alcohol played a role in the shooting.
