Simon Roofing hands Rondinelli its second loss of the season, 7-2.
STRUTHERS — Bob Zanni pitched a complete game as he scattered seven hits with 10 strikeouts in leading Roth Brothers to a 9-1 victory over Youngstown Express in a Class B League game Monday at Cene Park.
Dustin Uhlman hit a triple and two singles and drove in three runs for Roth (5-7). Stefan Stelk hit a pair of singles. Kyle Jones had two hits for Express (3-9).
Simon Roofing 7, Rondinelli 2
STRUTHERS — Wade Daniels blasted a home run and a triple as Simon Roofing (9-3) snapped Rondinelli’s (10-2) eight-game winning streak. The only two losses this season for Rondinelli have come to Simon.
Rick Sommers had two hits and Kevin McCullogh three hits, Jason Bagoly hit two singles for Rondinelli.
Dave Sugar 4, Livi Steel 3
STRUTHERS — Nick Dinello drove home the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning on his second single of the game for Dave Sugar Excavating (9-4). Justin Shaffer, Jake Kucek and Pat O’Brien added two hits each, while Todd Kibby (2-0) had four strikeouts in three innings of relief for the win. Taylor Englebaugh had a pair of triples and two RBIs for Livi (6-6).
Rondinelli 2, Astros 1
STRUTHERS — Jason Bagoly’s single in the bottom of the ninth inning drove home Phil Double with the winning run in a Sunday game. Kevin McCullugh (2-0) went the distance with four strikeouts to pick up the win. Steve Gruver tossed the first eight innings allowing only four hits with 12 strikeouts. Jared Turocy hit a pair of singles for Astri.
Livi Steel 5, Wharmby Sports 3
STRUTHERS — Dan Perkins threw a complete game four-hitter, with five strikeouts and he hit a double for Livi Steel. Ben Bechtol hit a triple for Wharmby.
Metros 15-1, Lake Erie 0-5
YOUNGSTOWN — Jim Fox pitched a three-hitter as Youngstown Metros shut out Lake Erie Lakers 15-0 in the first game of a Tri-State Collegiate League doubleheader Sunday at Pemberton Park.
The Metros broke open the game as it sent 13 batters to the plate in the sixth inning to score eight runs. Anthony Porter sparked the Metros with a triple, single and drove in five runs. Joe Yacobucci went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Mike Yarb hit a double and single and drove in two runs.
The Metros lost to the Lakers 5-1 as Tom Oship and Steve Smith combined to pitch a four-hitter. Joe Antione worked a complete game for Youngstown giving up 10 hits for the loss.
Metros 14, Tri County 0
YOUNGSTOWN — Alex Oles pitched a one-hitter in leading Youngstown Metros over Tri County at Pemberton Park.
The Metros scored six runs in the second inning and six more in the fourth. Josh Gardner hit a double and single and drove in four runs. Mat Yarab hit a pair of singles. Adam Boris singled for Tri County in the third inning.
Warren AA
WARREN — John St. John pitched a no-hitter in leading the Champion Marlins to a 10-0 victory over the Hickory Hornets Sunday. Tom Popadak and Mike Sweeney had three hits apiece for the Marlins (5-2).

WARREN — Cleats Club’s (4-4) Don Marsh pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts to pick up the win. Nick Zajaczkowski hit a double and singles, stole two bases and drove in two runs.
Mahoning Valley Knights 2, Andover 1
WARREN — Unbeaten MVK (4-0) fell behind 1-0, but rallied for the victory. Matt Carhart came on in relief in the third inning to pick up the win.
Andover Angels 9, P.I. I. Express 4
WARREN — Express fell behind 7-0 and couldn’t catchup. Brett Grabman and Tom Senich each had two hits.
Cuyahoga Indians 8, Yard Cardinals 4
WARREN — Greg Rowland collected three hits for Yard Cardinals, while Nick Dratgash, Bruce Brewster and George Woitec had two apiece.
