Display features Ohio art students

NILES — The Emerging Masters Collegiate Juried Exhibition opened Saturday in the Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall.

Students from six colleges and universities submitted their works to the show that will run through Aug. 10.

The Art Outreach Gallery gives students involved the opportunity to teach workshops, sell art, conduct gallery discussions and volunteer as gallery attendants.

Gallery exhibits are free and open to the public. The hours are Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Art Outreach Gallery is situated across from American Eagle Outfitters.

Winners of the exhibition are as follows:

UBest in show, Mark Bush, Columbus College of Art and Design;

UFirst place, Salem Reese, Columbus College of Art and Design;

USecond place, Justin Reese, Columbus College of Art and Design;

UThird place, David Mauerman, Youngstown State University;

U Third place, Leana Teuber, Cleveland Institute of Art.
