Police investigating Sharon home invasion, robbery

Published: Mon, June 9, 2008 @ 4:55 p.m.

SHARON, Pa. — A home invasion and robbery injured an 18-year-old victim Sunday, police said.

The teen answered the door at 10:19 p.m. at his home in the 300 block of Wheeler Place, police said. Three men forced their way in and hit him with their fists and a gun.

The teen was later treated at Sharon Regional Health Center for cuts on his face and a swollen eye.

The teen and his mother, who came downstairs during the attack, were forced into a back room. One of the men stood guard over them while the other two ransacked the upstairs, police said.

When the guard was distracted, the teen was able to get outside and call for help. The three attackers ran away with $100 in cash, police said.
