Members sought for Mahoning mental health board

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County residents interested in filling four vacancies on the Mahoning County Mental Health Board of Directors may obtain an application at the board office in the Ohio One Building, 25 E. Boardman St. The application deadline is June 30.

The four-year terms are July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2012. One position will be appointed by the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners, and the other three by the Ohio Department of Mental Health. ODMH requires that one of the vacant positions be filled by a psychiatrist or physician and one by a consumer of mental health services. The other two vacancies can be filled by any county resident who has an interest in mental health,according to Ronald Marian, board executive director.
