FIFTY YEARS AGO: Sack dresses, introduced in Paris in 1957 by the designer Givenchy, had reached Warren by graduation time, 1958. Vindicator photographer Lloyd Jones snapped this photo as a group of well-dressed young ladies headed into the Warren Harding High School senior banquet at Packard Music Hall. Cars in the late-’50s also made a fashion statement — with lots of chrome — as demonstrated by the front end of a 1957 DeSoto.
