It’s a refrain we heard over and over the past month: “I take pictures of the kids all the time, so I’m never in them!”
Lucky for us, a few mothers did manage to make it in front of the lens, so we got a chance to see some of their many roles.
They entertain, they nurture and they inspire. In return, their kids learn a level of devotion that has made mother such an important part of our culture.
Here and on the next page, we celebrate a few of those relationships, just as a way to serve notice that more mothers ought to find their way into their kids’ pictures.
For July, we’ll try for something a bit easier.
Show us your shots of yourselves from Mill Creek Park. Yes, we know it’s a beautiful place, and flower pictures are fun to take.
But we want to see you and what you’re doing in the park.
Running, hiking, boat-riding, whatever the activity, grab some photos.
Maybe it’s a picnic. Maybe you’re taking a class. We want to see it all. If it’s happening at Mill Creek Park, give us a peek into what you’re doing.
To e-mail images, send large files as attachments (not Web services) to features@vindy.com. You can send prints to Snapz! The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, OH 44501.
