YOUNGSTOWN — Kathleen Caputo completed a post-graduate program with McKenzie Institute International of Syracuse, N.Y., in April. She has a master’s degree in physical therapy from Youngstown State University.

STATE COLLEGE, PA. — Gary White, formerly of Berlin Center, is the recipient of the 2008 Gale Cengage Learning Award for Excellence in Business Librarianship. He is the head of the Schreyer Business Library at Penn State in State College, Pa. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University, a master’s degree in library and information science at Kent State University and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Akron.

CANFIELD — Wally Sinn, former president of Western Mahoning County Kiwanis, was recognized at a dinner in his honor. The club became a Gold Level Distinguished Club in the Ohio Kiwanis District during his administration.
