LOWELLVILLE — The fifth annual Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League Golf Outing will take place July 12 at Bedford Trails Golf Course, 713 Bedford Road.
Proceeds from the event will help defray the medical expenses of John Beshara, a captain with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s office, in his battle with primary central nervous system lymphoma, a type of brain cancer.
The scramble will be limited to the first 36 teams to register by July 1. The fee for each golfer is $75 and will include 18 holes of golf, a cart, breakfast, lunch and a steak dinner.
Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start, and participants will have a chance to win a two-year lease on a Chevrolet Trailblazer and other hole-in-one prizes. There will also be hole prizes, pitching games, a 50-50 raffle and a Chinese auction.
For information on becoming a hole sponsor, on donating items for the Chinese auction or on registering to play at the outing, contact Lynn Mickey, (330) 770-5871.
